Peperomia Tricolor

Peperomia clusiifolia

Peperomia Tricolor has thick green and cream leaves with, as the names suggests, red edges. The leaves have an upright habit but the plant can also trail, growing well over the edges of your pot to create an interesting structure.

This Peperomia enjoys a light-filled position. Though it can survive in shade, it does best in a brightly lit location.

Allow the soil of your plant dry out between watering and then water thoroughly. Do not overwater by letting the soil get waterlogged, as this will cause root rot. In summer, watering once a week at most is sufficient. In the cooler months, you can water less. The thick leaves store water so leaving the soil dry for a couple of weeks should be fine. Misting, especially during winter, is a great way to keep humidity up.

While it’s not absolutely necessary, you can fertilise your peperomia. Use a diluted liquid fertiliser every few weeks during spring while the plant is growing.
